Designed as an advanced level course for those interested in learning more about child development and early education, as part study towards a career in child care. As a distance learning course, HDSC01 is not NNEB or CACHE accredited, but will act as a good foundation knowledge from which to progress onto these qualifications. Drawing on a wide range of resources and contributors, the course is intended to suit students who already have some background knowledge in this field, either from self interest, employment in a related area, or from previous study. Designed to meet the needs of students wishing to study from home, HDSC01 provides the training and underpinning knowledge to help you begin or further a career in this field.

Far more comprehensive and in-depth than our standard programmes, HDSC01 is a fascinating course, giving students the opportunity to gain an extensive insight into all aspects of child development and the foundations of social behaviour. From learning to walk and speak through to health issues, behavioural disorders and discipline, the course covers the entire spectrum of child care.

Students study the listed topics in easy to learn stages, their performance being assessed by the marked assignments and an examination assignment, all completed within your own home. Performance on the course is graded by continuous assessment of both written and examination assignments. Diplomas are issue upon completion.
