Welcome to our higher level study courses. These advanced level courses are designed for students wishing to study at a higher level than our standard level 3 study programmes and are intended to suit students whom already have some background knowledge in the relative field, either from self interest, employment in the related area, or from previous study.

Designed as an advanced level course for those intending to work at consultant and management levels within a wide range of animal care environments. Tailored to meet the needs of both the private and commercial environment, this comprehensive course includes all principal aspects of both animal care and practice management and administration, and covers small animal care from birth through to behavioural training, diet, health issues and illness, and problems associated with old age. Drawing on a wide range of resources and contributors, the course is intended to suit students who already have some background knowledge in this field, either from self interest, employment in a related area, or from previous study.

Students study the listed topics in easy to learn stages, their performance being assessed by the marked assignments and an examination assignment, all completed within your own home. Performance on the course is graded by continuous assessment of both written and examination assignments. Diplomas are issue upon completion. Students achieving a pass will be entered onto the register of college graduates and may take full advantage of our free careers and work placement advisory programme. Duration: approximately 400 hours home study. Students work at their own pace, but by working 5-6 hours per week can expect to complete the course within 12-18 months.
